DP3 Architects Welcomes 2022 Summer Interns
DP3 Architects is pleased to welcome three interns to the firm this summer. These architecture students are in the process of completing their master’s degrees from Clemson University and will be bringing their talents to our Interiors, Higher Education and Hospitality studios. Learn a little more about them below.
Laurel Getty, Interiors Studio
Laurel graduated from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BS in Interior Architecture. She is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at Clemson University. “I was drawn to both the interior design and architecture professions for how they combine the technical left side of the brain with the creative right side!” When she’s not working or studying, Laurel loves to travel – next on her list is Asia, Antarctica, and Australia!
Madysen Bellanca, Higher Education Studio
Madysen is from Riverside, California and graduated from California Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree is Architecture. She is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at Clemson University. After being introduced to interior design in high school, she discovered that she liked the ability to create space and moments within it. ”I love how architecture plays a part in everything we see. The importance it plays in society made me want to be able to help play a part in some positive change”. Since moving to the South, Mady loves to try new restaurants and coffee shops in her free time.
Hunter Caine, Hospitality Studio
Hunter is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, but is currently pursuing his Master of Architecture at Clemson University. Growing up, he was always interested in Legos and building things out of clay. That eventually turned into an interest in civil engineering and then architecture. He enjoys the “behind the scenes” side of the design process and being able to see a project from start to finish. Outside of work and school, Hunter enjoys working out, sports and hiking.
Hands on Greenville 2022
DP3 Architects partnered with the United Way of Greenville for the 25th annual Hands on Greenville Day. “HOG Day” is the largest annual day of service for the state of South Carolina, with over 2000 participants statewide.
We were thrilled to partner with the Providence Care Foundation, which aims provide the highest level of care to South Carolina seniors and their families regardless of their inability to pay. Our team spent the morning sprucing up courtyards at a local assisted living facility and planting new flower beds which were specially requested by the seniors.
As a firm that lives and works in the Greenville community, DP3 Architects is thankful for opportunities like these to give back. Learn more about the United Way of Greenville and its mission HERE.
