DP3 Architects Holiday Food Drive

Posted on December 20, 2022

One in six of our South Carolina neighbors, including over 100,000 children, face hunger daily. Food banks like Harvest Hope help to chip away at that statistic by collecting and distributing nutritious food to food pantries, churches, shelters, and soup kitchens across the state. DP3 Architects hosted a holiday food drive to help the cause and provide meals to struggling families in our community.

Harvest Hope is on a mission to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in South Carolina. They are South Carolina’s largest food bank, providing food for organizations across the state who serve families in need, with special allocations for our most vulnerable residents, including children, seniors, and people in rural areas without access to grocery stores.

If you or your organization would like to donate to Harvest Hope or host your own food drive, information about how to get started can be found, HERE.

DP3 Architects Wins AIA South Carolina Award

Posted on December 5, 2022

DP3 Architects won a Design Award at the American Institute of Architects South Carolina (AIA SC)’s annual awards presented on December 02, 2022. DP3 Architects received a Merit Award in Interior Architecture for the design of the iStore located in Greenville, SC.

AIA SC’s Design Awards recognizes individuals, organizations, and projects exemplifying the very best in architecture. Winning projects are selected by a jury of architects and designers from outside the state in categories including: New Construction, Residential, Adaptive Reuse/Preservation, Interior Architecture, and Unbuilt Projects.

Completed in 2022, iStore’s 4,800 square foot space was designed to bring a renewed sense of brand prominence and to capture new foot traffic with its upgraded downtown presence.  The interior design draws on a Scandinavian aesthetic with a minimalistic style that blends textures and contrasting tones. Products are displayed with sophisticated attention to detail and intentional thought to lighting and presentation.

The custom cash wrap is a focal point of the space. The asymmetric window pattern and dark wood of the “house” provide stark contrast to the order of the showroom. This unique element separates the store from the back-of-house operations and makes a bold statement.

The iStore storefront features clean lines, natural materials, and large windows allowing for an abundance of natural light. Overall, the new store provides a modern and welcoming shopping experience that is designed with both product and customer in mind.

“It’s an honor to have received this recognition,” said Brian Thomas, President of DP3 Architects. “We are proud of this project and the collaboration between our team, client, and construction partners.”
