Cherokee County Celebrates New Animal Shelter with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

On April 19th, Cherokee County officials, administrators, and community members celebrated the opening of the new Cherokee County Animal Shelter in Gaffney, SC. DP3 Architects had the privilege of designing the 13,732-square-foot facility that was built by Sossamon Construction. The new shelter is now able to house 164 dogs and 70 cats, which is a significant increase from its previous capacity of 28 dogs and 24 cats. The building also features 10 adoption kennels for the Humane Society of Cherokee County.
