The Daniel
Greenville, SC
DP3 Architects is partnering with SeamonWhiteside on the revitalization of the historic Daniel Building. This project aims to preserve the building’s heritage, while enhancing the functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Formerly known as the Landmark Building, the 25-story office tower will be rebranded as “The Daniel,” in honor of it’s founder, Charlie Daniel, whose construction company, Daniel International Corp., originally built the structure. As Greenville’s tallest building, The Daniel has played an pivotal role in shaping the city’s skyline and economic landscape.
The renovation effort will focus on preserving the building’s historic significance, while modernizing its infrastructure, interior spaces, and facades. A refreshed lobby design will feature a mid-century modern design with wood tones and brass accents, paying homage to the site’s history and original appearance. New outdoor seating, landscaping, lighting, and other site furnishings will be added to the updated plaza, ensuring The Daniel remains a dynamic and inviting space. DP3 Architects is excited to be part of this groundbreaking project. The Daniel is located at 301 N. Main St. in downtown Greenville and is set to be completed in 2025.
