“The most rewarding aspect of design is collaboration.”

While JJ was growing up, she often overheard her mother murmuring phrases such as, “Don’t make a hallway this small,” “These stairs are too steep,” and “Someone obviously didn’t consider the traffic flow here.” Claiming our parents don’t have a great influence on us won’t work for JJ, since those murmurings translated into a desire to be an architect (secretly hoping that people similar to her mother would stop complaining, as a result of her efforts).

Clemson University attracted this Roanoke, Virginia native to the Greenville area, earning a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the school. She works in the Community Studio on a broad range of projects including parks and amenity facilities, recreation, and commercial facilities. on Outside of work, JJ spends quality time with her Gran; and relaxes with the art of gardening, and the comfort of a good book.
