Reidville Fire Station
Reidville, SC
Originally formed in 1953, the Reidville Fire Department has continued to grow over the years, along with the population they serve. DP3 Architects worked with the Reidville Fire Department and provided design services for a new 10,300-square-foot fire station in Reidville, SC. The new building serves both the Reidville Area Fire District and the Spartanburg County EMS.
The space includes living quarters and three double-depth drive-through apparatus bays with support spaces. The design team worked closely with the community and department to design a facility that would contextually reflect the rural landscape of the area and offer a modern aesthetic befitting of a transforming community. The space is compactly organized to ensure maximum efficiency, quick response, and a comfortable living environment. Overall, the concept is embedded in the mission set forth by the Reidville Fire Department which is to provide services designed to protect lives and the community they serve. Fire stations are beacons of safety and security. It is our honor to craft designs that capture the individual characteristics and strengths of the crews that call our facilities home.
