Two Chefs Cafe & Market

Relocating a restaurant provides the opportunity to step back, evaluate, and enhance the business. Longtime DP3 Architects client Two Chefs Cafe and Market decided it was time to move to a more visible location in Greenville, SC. Owners Bill and Judy Balsizer wished to offer their own fresh food creations alongside gourmet kitchen and pantry products in a combined restaurant and market.

The new 5,200-square-foot space provided room to accommodate their goals.

Incorporating a palette of naturally finished woods and concrete into the dining room spoke to the authenticity that the husband-and-wife chef team bring to their cooking.  A larger dining room and kitchen now offer the opportunity to present additional menu items and longer operating hours. Utilizing and refurbishing much of the existing furniture from their previous location took a portion of the financial burden associated with a new space out of the picture. Standing in the market you are drawn to the freshly prepared food on display, whose colors and textures are complimented by the vibrancy of a full-height chalk board highlighting the foods and brands that have met the quality requirements of the owners.
